About the Role
This Physical Therapist position involves designing and implementing physical therapy programs to help clients recover from injuries or illnesses. The role includes conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. You will also be responsible for documenting client information, establishing therapeutic plans, and educating clients and their families about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Design and implement individualized physical therapy programs to promote recovery and improvement
- Administer physical therapy interventions, following established safeguards and guidelines
- Document client information, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Educate clients and their families about treatment plans, schedules, and self-exercises to be continued at home
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess an appropriate education level in accordance with state licensure. A valid driver's license may be required in some cases. You should also be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) where you will be practicing. Additionally, you will need to obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
