The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Rehab unit at Sioux Falls Village. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to patients as they recover and rehabilitate.
About the Role
This full-time day shift position offers a straight weekend differential and requires the RN to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with residents and families, other interdisciplinary colleagues, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
- Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
