A Rehabilitation Therapist Specialist plans, organizes, and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients recover from injuries or diseases. This role involves conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent deformities. The specialist will utilize various tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions while ensuring the client's safety and well-being. They will also document client information, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as needed. Additionally, they will educate clients and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home. The specialist will demonstrate knowledge of current research and incorporate it into daily treatment. They may treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. The Rehabilitation Therapist Specialist will adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines and participate in activities to promote the department and the organization.

Applicants must possess a degree in Physical Therapy and be licensed in the state(s) of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
