Job Summary
A Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents. Collaborating with residents, family, and healthcare teams, they plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to each resident's needs.
Maintaining competency and practicing within their scope of expertise, RNs work in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. They coordinate care, conduct assessments, educate residents, and perform various interventions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, individualized care
- Collaborate with residents, family, and inter-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identifying residents' unique needs and preferences
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, promoting emotional support and well-being
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Hold an active RN license with the State Board of Nursing or possess multistate licensure if working in a Compact state
- Obtain department-specific competencies and certifications as required
