Job Summary
The Senior Caregiver (NA) serves as a caregiver to the resident during scheduled work periods in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
**Responsibilities:**
- Delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plan
- Assists residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs
- Provides psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
- Assists residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
- Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
**Requirements:**
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into position by being enrolled in training program or in process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
