Job Description
A Senior Physical Rehabilitation Specialist will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. Conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy interventions following established safeguards.
- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans as needed.
- Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
- Utilize age-related treatments and evaluations to meet the needs of clients/patients/residents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current research in daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
- May require valid driver's license when applicable.
- Ongoing education and training in area(s) of expertise as determined by department leadership.
