Key Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant trainee, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights
- Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse to develop your skills and confidence in providing personal care to clients
- Assisting with basic health care needs and activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned
- Communicating changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong desire to provide high-quality care to clients, as well as possess the following qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
