Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows you to travel locally while working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from your home address. As a Travel CNA, you will provide care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises to promote resident mobility and comfort.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Participate in departmental committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
