Job Description
Job Summary :
Under direct supervision, assist the outpatient pharmacist in the performance of a variety of functions related to the filling of outpatient prescriptions.
Essential Job Duties :
- Assist the pharmacist in the filling of outpatient prescriptions
- Utilizes the PharmaServ system effectively to enter patient and prescription information
- Enters and maintains patient information in PharmaServ to insure accurate billing of prescriptions.
- Files prescriptions in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and expertise of the prescription benefit program for GSH employees.
- Works collaboratively with the inventory technicians to maintain proper inventory levels in the Outpatient Pharmacy
- Demonstrates knowledge of the OTC inventory and assist employee in product selection.
- Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned.
