This position is a pivotal role in ensuring quality care for Good Shepherd patients throughout on call hours.
Job Responsibilities
The On Call Nurse Manager supervises the clinical quality, documentation, staffing patterns, and professional standards and competencies of the on-call and weekend nursing teams. This role will collaborate with the Intake and Admissions team to ensure quality of admissions and referrals occurring during weekend hours and will oversee patient care related costs to ensure all cases are managed in a clinically and fiscally responsible manner. The On Call Nurse Manager will monitor and evaluate off hours processes and staffing, and using data compiled, propose ongoing changes to meet the needs of the organization.
Schedule And Weekly Hours
Friday through Monday from 9am to 5pm and an additional 8 hours of float time to be worked during the course of the week to attend meetings with staff and other obligations as needed, at the discretion of the On Call Nurse Manager.
Education, Skills And Experience
Salary range: $105,000-$125,000. This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.

Education, Skills And Experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of hospice experience is required.
- One year of program management and supervisory experience is required.
