DEFINITION OF POSITION: Pharmacy Technician will be working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and will carry out the responsibilities that are assigned by the Director of Pharmacy and approved by the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy. QUALIFICATIONS: A. Education: Required: High School Diploma.Completed basic science and math courses B. Experience: Required: None Desired: Previous hospital experience, computer skills, Pyxis systems and pharmacy knowledge C. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Pharmacy Technician Registration with Oregon Board of Pharmacy D. Equipment/Tools/WorkAids: Sterile IV Hoods and IV supplies (needles, syringes, etc), typewriter, computer terminal and printer, photocopier, fax machine, Pyxis system.

Certified or registered pharmacy license with Oregon Board of Pharmacy is required. Preference will be given to technicians with hospital pharmacy and sterile/oncology compounding experience.
