Summary
Good Shepherd, Inc., a senior living community in Mason City, Iowa is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our team at Good Shepherd. The Scheduler is responsible for creating a daily/monthly staff schedule for all nurses and CNAs within the facility, ensuring each shift is staffed appropriately following local, state, and federal guidelines. The Scheduler generates, manages and updates master schedules while making necessary adjustments according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-ins, and pre-planned leaves of absence. This role is vital in coordinating schedules for our nursing staff and ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care. Your contributions will directly impact the well-being and satisfaction of our residents. The Scheduler reports to the Director of Nursing.
Duties include:
- Producing the master nursing schedule
- Fulfilling staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Keeping meticulous attendance records
- Communicating with unit managers and the director of nursing regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Administrative training required.
- Two years of administrative assistant experience (preferred).
- Recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment a plus
- Scheduling experience in a health care environment a plus
