Childcare Teachers and Assistants
Good Shepherd Lutheran School and Childcare is looking for Teachers for our childcare programs.
Key characteristics include the ability to promote a welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff. The applicant should have the capacity to relate with sensitivity to children in a calm and patient manner. Applicants should be able to display evidence of emotional maturity, stability and sound judgment. An essential job skill is to work as a team and be capable to take direction as well as start and complete tasks as needed.
The schedule for these positions are between the hours of 7am and 6pm, must be able to work both opening and closing shifts.
Additional requirements include:
*Enrolled in the Central Background Registry (You can apply for this by submitting an application at www.oregon.gov/OCC)
*Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Certificate
* Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid Certification
* Food Handlers Certification
*Intro to Childhood Health and Safety
*Safe Sleep
*Prevention is Better than Treatment
