What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Assistant (UA) position at Good Shepherd Nursing Home?
Summary of Position:
Short-term work assignments performed on nursing units according to specific guidelines listed below.
Performing these duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with the recognized standards.
Unit Assistants needed for 7AM – 3PM and 3PM – 11PM shifts
- Provides non resident care related tasks within the nursing department that assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit and department
- Must be a candidate to eventually be placed into our Nursing Assistant Classes – this is based upon your attendance and work performance as a Unit Assistant
- Previous health care experience is preferred but not necessary
- Must have a High School education or a GED to be placed into the classes
- $1.20 shift differential for afternoon and evening hours and all weekend shifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $11.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
