What are the responsibilities and job description for the preschool teacher position at GOOD SHEPHERD PRESCHOOL?
Duties include (but not limited to): supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, plan/assist with planning and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for the children in the classroom that helps them grow physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially and spiritually, adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children. Must be able to implement the daily program. Must be able to establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in the classroom using positive, loving reinforcement. Must keep the classroom clean, sanitary, stocked and safe as well as pleasant & inviting in appearance. Be organized and have supplies ready and available prior to arrival of children, attend monthly staff meetings, keep up on annual training hours, keep current CPR/First Aid, be familiar with and maintain state regulations as well as program policies of Good Shepherd Preschool, have the ability and desire to build positive, loving connections and relationships with all children and their families and most of all, be flexible and a team player.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
