Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, ensuring that all floors are properly cleaned, maintained, and restored. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Duties:
- Perform daily floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing.
- Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and other surfaces using specialized equipment.
- Conduct deep cleaning and restoration of floors using industrial-grade cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any potential maintenance issues.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial cleaning, floor care, or a related field.
- Proficiency in carpet cleaning, buffing, and other floor maintenance techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with environmental services and the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
- Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including high-traffic areas and areas with heavy equipment.
This position is required to go to different sites to complete floor work. Travel is required.
