Key Responsibilities:1. Operational Support:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and complies with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels, ensuring that the restaurant is adequately stocked while minimizing waste and spoilage.
- Assist with managing food preparation, ensuring it meets Goodcents’ quality standards and is prepared in a timely manner.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring all cash handling, inventory, and equipment checks are properly done.
2. Staff Management & Development:
- Supervise and assist in managing staff during shifts, providing leadership and direction.
- Train new employees and assist with ongoing training to ensure adherence to Goodcents’ service standards and operational procedures.
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members, coaching them on improving performance and delivering excellent customer service.
- Assist in scheduling employees to ensure adequate coverage and efficient labor management during peak and off-peak hours.
- Address employee issues and assist the General Manager in resolving any staff conflicts or concerns.
3. Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure that all customers receive excellent service by maintaining a customer-first mindset.
- Assist in addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and make recommendations to improve service and food quality.
- Lead by example by maintaining a positive attitude and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
4. Financial & Operational Management:
- Assist the General Manager in tracking restaurant sales and key performance metrics.
- Help control operational costs, including labor, food, and inventory, to meet or exceed profitability targets.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and register reconciliation, supporting the General Manager in monitoring financial transactions.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining adequate stock levels to prevent shortages.
5. Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations, including food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Assist with regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Train staff on food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
6. Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide leadership to the restaurant team, setting the tone for a positive and motivating work environment.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Provide feedback on staff performance, and assist the General Manager in conducting performance evaluations.
- Support team-building activities, ensuring staff morale is high and turnover is minimized.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); a degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: 2-3 years of restaurant management experience or a similar leadership role in the foodservice industry.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of restaurant financials, including cost control, labor management, and sales tracking.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, employees, and management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to solve operational challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
