Line-level employees are what makes Desperados thrive. Being responsible, hard-working, having a great attitude and willingness to learn and take direction are of utmost importance for an employee to succeed at Goodfellas.
Requirements :
- Ensure that they are asking questions and learning all aspects of Desperados that pertain to their job. If you are unsure how to perform a certain task, you should seek out a Shift Lead, KM, or GM to get clarification to ensure all systems and procedures are being followed to Desperados standards.
- Provide the best product we can serve our guests.
- Line-level employees may be part-time or full-time. There are no minimum requirements for hours worked. After a year of employment, the employee may be eligible for health insurance through Desperados, to qualify must meet a required minimum of 32 hours a week.
- Must clock in and out for every shift. When clocking out, they should ensure to claim their tips for their shifts.
- Shifts may consist of mornings, mids, and closes based on the needs of the store.
- Should ensure they are providing the highest level of customer service for every guest that comes through the door. This should include greeting guests as they enter the building, and thanking them as they exit. While taking orders, utilize the 30-second relationship strategy to make the guests feel welcome and happy to patronize our establishment. Getting to know and building a rapport with regulars who frequent the store consistently. When an issue arises with a customer or employee, they should immediately bring it to the attention of the Shift Lead on their shift. If the issue is with that manager, they should seek out their KM or GM.
- Ensuring all duties and checklists are completed before clocking out and leaving their shift.
- Employees should always check with the Manager on their shift before leaving for the day to ensure everything is completed to the expectations of that manager.
- Must be in dress code for the duration of shifts. This consists of pants / shorts with belt loops (no gym shorts or sweat pants) a Desperados t-shirt, a hat or hair restraint, and slip-resistant closed-toe shoes.
- Follow all health and sanitation practices, as well as all safety procedures and protocols. This includes regularly washing hands, wearing gloves, ensuring foods are held at appropriate holding temps, no cross-contamination, appropriately and safely operating all equipment in the store, etc. Should follow safe practices for lifting and carrying items throughout the shop. The minimum requirement may require you to lift to 50 lbs.
- If you have an accident or injure yourself while on the clock, you should immediately notify the manager on duty, and seek first aid treatment. The manager and you can determine if more medical assistance is required at this time. If an injury occurs, an accident report should be filled out by yourself and the manager to ensure proper documentation of the injuries or accidents.
- Show up on time for shifts, if you can’t work a shift you need to contact your managers to help find a solution. Your shift should be put up for grabs on 7 shifts. You are still responsible for your shift until an employee has picked up your shift and the manager has approved the shift change. If you are going to be late, you should call and notify the manager on duty before the beginning of your shift.
- A local or nationally recognized food handler’s permit is required within the first 90 days of employment. This will be the employee’s responsibility to obtain.
- Must follow all SOPs and procedures to Desperados standards as directed by management.
