Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transporter to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of professionalism, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments in a timely manner.
- Assist passengers with mobility challenges, including helping them in and out of the vehicle and securing wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Communicate with dispatchers and healthcare providers regarding transport schedules and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as monitoring fuel levels and tire pressure.
- Accurately complete trip logs and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in patient transport, caregiving, or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist passengers as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local roads and GPS navigation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull to assist patients.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and bending.
