What are the responsibilities and job description for the Market Development Intern – Summer 2025 position at Goodheart-Willcox?
Are you a college student looking to gain valuable marketing experience? If so, come join Goodheart-Willcox Publisher! As a summer intern, you will provide administrative support to the marketing and sales teams. This is a 12-week internship and will follow a hybrid schedule that will require a minimum of one day in the Tinley Park office per week.
Our compensation is market-based and takes into account a variety of factors including the candidate’s skill set, experience level, internal equity, and location. For this position, we anticipate the starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Summer conference support, including social media messaging and marketing collateral
- Proofreading and QA testing
- Internet research on school and government websites to identify faculty members and offered courses/programs
- Sales and marketing database administration
- Assist in sales follow-up and messaging for summer events
- Assist in writing scripts for new product videos
- Assist in writing, editing, posting social media posts and promoting company blog
- Minimum 3.0 Major GPA.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Enthusiasm and hardworking attitude.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Some related experience and/or general office experience is a plus.
- Marketing programs are a plus.
