What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Alternative Education Teacher position at Goodhue County Education District?
The Goodhue County Education District (GCED) serves 6 member school districts in southeastern Minnesota with a total enrollment of approximately 7,000 pupils. The Education District employs 140 staff, has an annual budget of approximately $13 million, and has been recognized for its partnerships with other service agencies. GCED operates a Federal Setting IV program, an 18-21 year-old Transition Program, Title III/Multilingual programming, Alternative Education options, Regional Perkins/Career and Technical Education support, a full online school (5RiversOnline), and related specialized services (Early Childhood Special Education, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Blind/Visually Impaired, etc.).
Position: 1.0 FTE Middle School (Grades 6-7) Alternative Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year
Licensure: 5-12 or 5-8 Minnesota Licensure, preferred in English/Language Arts or Social Studies
Salary/Benefits: In accordance with the labor agreement
