Goodhue Boat Company is growing, and we are looking for smart, motivated, and dedicated people to join the team! Our Ossipee Lake marina has an immediate opening for a Seasonal Part-time Marine Service Advisor. Our service department specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats. As a Marine Service Advisor for our company, you will ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate estimate.
- Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs.
- Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
- Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
- Finalize and invoice work orders.
- Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
- Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
- Follow up after work is complete.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience, preferred
- Excellent customer service and phone skills is a must.
- Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving skills.
- Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
- Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education:
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, required
- Boater’s license a plus
Schedule/Availability:
Spring, Summer & Fall - weekend availability required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Work Days:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
