Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking crew member to join our team. This position involves hands-on work in all aspects of edible landscaping, including soil preparation, planting, propagating, pruning, irrigation, maintenance, and harvesting. If you love working outdoors, have a passion for sustainable food systems, and enjoy working with plants, this job is for you!
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of edible landscapes
- Plant, mulch, weed, and maintain gardens, orchards, and permaculture systems
- Maintain irrigation system and schedule
- Prune trees
- Garden maintenance
- Propagation and Transplanting
- Distribution of produce
- Pick up plants and materials
- Taking notes and communicating
- Safely use and maintain tools and equipment
Qualifications
- Agriculture degree, background in food production, accreted horticulture program(s), land management and or pertinent real life experience.
- Comfortable managing multiple gardens
- Verifiable experience w/ solid references
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable lifting 40 lbs and performing physical labor
- Basic knowledge of soil health, companion planting, seasonal planting of native and non-native
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation (Ideally has truck)
- Must be adaptive in changing environments
- Pass Employment Eligibility Verification (Form i9)
- Must be a forward thinker that has creative mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
Compensation & Benefits

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
