As an Afternoon Teacher, you will support our Lead Teachers in working with young children in our Montessori environment. The Afternoon Preschool Teacher is responsible for the supervision of children in all classroom and outdoor activities.
Specific duties include:
- Protecting children's health and safety
- Promoting the active engagement of all children while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Responding calmly and consistently to challenging behavior
- Remaining actively engaged with children and/or other classroom responsibilities at all times
Some qualifications:
- One – two years of prior teaching experience, preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to meet all necessary licensing requirements
- The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, and give and accept feedback effectively
- A high energy level, adaptability, assertiveness, and patience
