Preschool Cook (FT or PT)

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (Full-time) or 8am-1pm (Part-time)

$15/hour

GoodLife’s North Star Child Development Center is seeking a cook to join our team! We are looking for someone interested in promoting children's health by preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals during the day.

The primary responsibility of the Cook is to prepare and serve school meals for children ages 2 ½ - 6 years in a Child Development Center and Montessori Preschool environment.

Some duties include:

• Planning daily healthy snacks and meals for approximately 100 staff and students
• Adapting meal plans to individual allergies and dietary restrictions
• Following portion-control standards and serving meals to children in a timely manner
• Maintaining a clean kitchen and meal area
• Shopping for groceries and maintaining kitchen inventory
  
  
  

Some requirements:

• Able to cook well and plan healthy meals and snacks
• One – two years of prior experience in a similar position, preferred
• Willing to meet all necessary licensing requirements
• Ability to plan ahead, multi-task, and work efficiently
• Must successfully pass criminal and motor vehicle background screening
