Summary of Position
The Custodial Supervisor (CS) is responsible for managing day-to-day planning and implementation of all custodial activities. The CS ensures that the custodial team achieves daily service goals and contractual compliance through active supervision, hands-on audits and inspections at assigned worksites. The CS supervises a diverse workforce, including individuals with disabilities. The CS is a working supervisor position, completing all custodial duties as necessary to meet daily expectations.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensures that the custodial team completes work at assigned contract sites within established deadlines and scope of work
- Fulfills all custodial duties to ensure daily completion of the scope of work.
- Achieves daily service goals and contractual compliance through active supervision, hands-on audits and inspections at assigned worksites.
- Assists management in developing policies, processes, and workflow procedures for the custodial team.
- Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with building managers and employees.
- Reports custodian operational issues to leadership as necessary.
- Addresses and resolves employee performance and quality control issues.
- Executes continuous improvement strategies, work practices, procedures and quality control plans for assigned worksites.
- Maintains processes and procedures ensuring the safety of our employees.
- Reports safety hazards and ensures the custodial team adheres to safety procedures.
- Coaches, trains, mentors, and provides support to all custodial team members.
- Manages time and attendance entry and edits, payroll hours worked to budget and achieves metrics.
- Submits supply orders and manages custodial supply inventory levels at assigned worksites.
- Maintains and reports all equipment and fleet requirements including maintenance and repairs.
- Adheres to established departmental dress code.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule
- Delivers exceptional customer service.
- Represents the organization in the community in a positive manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

This position has supervisory responsibilities over custodial team members.
