Summary
Responsible for providing employment/vocational services to consumers. Assess barriers to employment and coordinate consumers’ individual career/financial plans with the case management team, thereby enabling them to become self-sufficient. Provides coaching to consumers on appropriate workplace behavior and job readiness skills through an organized, blended-learning classroom model.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for adherence of all requirements related to specific funding sources. This includes maintaining necessary records, submitting weekly reports as required, and providing input to referral sources regarding individual placement progress.
Maintains accurate and timely consumer records utilizing the Salesforce case management system.
Provides coaching to consumers on appropriate workplace behaviors and job readiness skills through an organized, blended-learning classroom setting.
Maintains curricula and materials for job search and job readiness classes.
Identifies potential barriers to employment that consumers may face and coordinates with the case management team to implement a plan to overcome those barriers.
Provides comprehensive assessments, job-seeking skills, career counseling, exploration, and job development to consumers.
Initiates contact with prospective employers to determine personnel needs and arrange interviews for consumers.
Ensures that paperwork is in compliance with GESMV guidelines and regulations.
Meets or exceeds individual and departmental program goals as established with a supervisor.
Ensures consumers’ continued success by performing routine retention visits in accordance with contractual guidelines and assists consumers with the removal of any barriers that may prevent them from maintaining their employment.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Complies with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, business education, or social science, or a minimum of five years’ experience in the field of vocational rehabilitation or job development. Experience in the field may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience Requirements
Involvement in the implementation and development of training programs for adults with disabling and disadvantaging conditions. Leading candidates will have a strong background in instructing, vocational rehabilitation, vocational assessment, and job placement services.

The employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. If at any time the employee is unable to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV’s liability insurance provider, they must immediately notify Human Resources. The employee must use their own vehicle for travel within the GESMV service area and must have and maintain a reliable source of transportation. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
