Job Objective:
To oversee the day-to-day textile processing at the Gary, IN warehouse. This position reports to the North Central District Manager and the Transportation/Salvage Outlet Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and hold accountable the textile processing department employees.
- Conduct job interviews, hire and train new employees.
- Maintain good employee morale and discipline in the department.
- Consistently use good people skills with all levels of personnel and clients.
- Implement established organizational and departmental policies as described in the Employee Handbook.
- Keep District Manager informed about training needs.
- Stay updated on changes in procedures or policies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Learn and perform all functions of the Textile Processing Manager.
- Monitor employees in the department to ensure they are correctly performing their assigned jobs.
- Oversee each textile hanger's production to ensure compliance with the appropriate pay rate level as per the textile program.
- Hold daily meetings with employees to set daily goals and objectives.
- Coach, discipline, and review employees.
- Complete and submit daily production reports.
- Be proficient in and utilize SharePoint and Paycom platforms.
- Assist in the logistics of moving textile racks to trailers or stores.
- Follow the dress code and wear the designated identification provided.
- Help maintain the safety and security of the premises and merchandise.
- Assist in controlling pilferage and preventing burglary.
- Help eliminate fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Assist in conducting emergency drills and instructing workers on fire prevention and safety procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Cover scheduling needs in the absence of other employees.
- Attend meetings within the district.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise personnel.
- Ability to read, write and complete simple math functions.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and related standard office applications.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible availability.
- Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively use standard production supplies and equipment.
- Forklift certification required.
