Description
Job Objective:
Responsible for accepting donations and sorting, scanning into software, photographing, listing, and shelving items that are to be placed for sale in an online store. This position reports to the E-Commerce Supervisor and performance is reviewed annually.
Essential Job Functions:
- Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.
- Responsible for quickly evaluating reasonable saleable condition of items received from stores.
- Including, but not limited to processing of items by inspecting, identifying, authenticating, testing, accepting, and rejecting items.
- Responsible for photographing and listing items to an online store site.
- Requires review and editing for errors in listings prior to posting.
- Responsible for responding to assigned customer inquiries politely and in a timely manner.
- Ability to learn and correctly implement software used for processing items.
- Able to understand and use the alphanumeric shelving layout and correctly tag/label items.
- and put away onto correct inventory location.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Including, but not limited to inventory shelving, personal workspace, and general housekeeping in assigned area.
- Able to communicate with Supervisor/Production Assistant regarding E-Commerce needs.
- When required, provide guidance and assistance to WDS staff for client training in E-commerce.
- Must be able to follow established SOPs.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Production Assistant or other designated person(s).
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be well groomed and personable.
- Ability differentiate and identify colors.
- Ability to read, write, use a tape measure, and do simple math functions.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Must be knowledgeable and competent in use of the internet and web research.
- Must have good computer skills including accurate typing and the ability to learn a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to photo editing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Follow the dress code and wear designated identification as provided.

- Ability to move / lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Including, but not limited to pallets, boxes, totes, put away carts, and Z-Racks.
