Description

Job Objective:

This position has multiple tasks where you might be doing one or all of them. In this position you will assist with the overall smooth operation of the Used Goods area by moving and sorting material as required. Sort, match, correctly price, and allocate salable shoes for sale in our stores. Assist in preparing Wares items for sale. Correctly price all Wares items for sale in our stores. This position reports to the Production Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:

• Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.
• Sort all donated shoes into categories of saleable for our stores, saleable for salvage, or non-saleable discards trash. Place in proper processing areas and containers.
• Match saleable and salvage shoes into pairs and fasten with a rubber band.
• Clean dirty saleable shoes with damp cloth.
• Put all out-of-season saleable shoes and boots into correct containers for storage.
• Do final inspection and selection of shoes for sale. Pair and rubber band
• Pack "ready-for-sale" shoes in barrels and correctly allocate barrels of shoes to all stores.
• Keep daily production report and turn in as required.
• Assist with wrapping and packing of wares, books, records, tapes, dishes, and toy items for shipment to the stores.
• Assist in sorting as needed.
• Assist with wrapping and packing of wares, books, records, tapes, dishes, and toy items for shipment to the stores.
• Label each container packed with correct store destination.
• Keep inventory sheet for each container packed, showing number of items of each price enclosed.
• Assist with transporting barrels and boxes to the warehouse.
• Determine correct price for all wares items, including house wares, toys and seasonal items.
• Attach price tag with proper price to each article.
• Pack materials in proper containers for safe shipment to stores.
• Keep inventory sheet for each container, showing number of items of each price enclosed.
• Assist with allocation of containers for each store.
• Be a role model by setting a very positive example regarding attitude, attendance/punctuality, attire, work habits, and personal productivity
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Cooperate with and support Team Leader(s).

Salary : $11
