Job Objective:
To provide assistance in the oversight of the day-to-day floor operation of assigned departments. The position is responsible for providing guidance and direction to department employees to maximize productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe and positive work environment. This position reports to Production Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:
- Support the Production Manager and Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing daily operations within assigned departments.
- Set a positive example for team members through professionalism in attitude, attendance, attire, work ethic, and productivity.
- Foster a positive work environment by maintaining good employee morale.
- Adhere to the dress code and wear the designated identification provided by the company.
- Monitor department employees to ensure they are completing their assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure that salvage items and donated goods are properly stored in the warehouse.
- Move gaylord boxes as needed to maintain an organized workspace.
- Load and unload semi-trucks efficiently and safely.
- Keep all workstations stocked with necessary supplies to support continuous workflow.
- Cover for vacant positions as needed to maintain productivity.
- Accurately complete and submit daily production reports.
- Learn and perform all responsibilities of the Production Assistant role as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education and Skills:
- Ability to become proficient in all department roles and train others to perform duties associated with them.
- Effectively manage the pressure of meeting production quotas.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding the needs of individuals with disabilities and those facing economic challenges.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible availability.
- Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely operate standard industrial production equipment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able obtain required certification to safely operate forklift, baler and compactor.
