Job Title: Donor Greeter
FLSA: Non-Exempt Full-Time
*We are hiring 2 Full Time Donor Greeters - 40 hours a week!*
**MUST HAVE FLEXIBILITY FOR EVENINGS & WEEKENDS**
This position requires you to be on your feet, lifting and moving products all throughout your shift - you will be exposed to the elements while doing this job cold, hot, rain, snow, etc.
Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of store management, is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and the maintenance of accurate donor records
Job Duties:
Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; assist to unload donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts, maintain accurate daily counts of donations.
Breaks-down donations into categories.
Maintains work area and keeps it in a clean and organized manner.
Inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, small household wares, novelty items, books, toys,
decorations, and sporting goods to determine sale ability.
Tag, hang, and sort all received goods.
Clean and maintain processing area.
Ensure racks and/or wares carts meet daily quotas.
Separate salvage from merchandise.
Ensure that Goodwill quality control standards are met (textiles, misc., and furniture).
Test electrical appliances to determine safe operations.
Complete reports accurately as assigned.
Price merchandise according to prescribed criteria.
Prepare textiles and goods for resale.
Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Transports trash to proper locations as needed.
Adheres to all personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Manager on Duty.
Qualifications:
Able to lift up to 40 pounds
Possess good eye sight
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to quickly assess goods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
