Role: Retail -Key Holder
FLSA: Non-Exempt Full Time Position
ROP: $16.00
**Must have availability to work evenings & weekends**
Job Summary
Perform retail sales functions, select and price donated goods and textiles to be sold in retail stores according to the Standard Operating Procedures. Provide direct client services through innovation and compliance with required standards for all activities of the assigned department and to promote, improve and support the agency as a whole.
Requirements

Commit to preserving a safe work environment by performing job duties and keeping work area clean and void of hazards.
Actively participate in safety training.
Job Duties
Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently (correct change, receipts, charges, discounts, etc.).
Opening and closing procedures
Inspect textiles, furniture, appliances, small household wares, novelty items, books, toys, decorations, and sporting goods to determine sale ability.
Provide customer service in a friendly manner (greeting, selling, telephone etiquette, etc.).
Perform stock duties such as hanging garments, placing them on the appropriate rack and keeping the pulling system up to date.
Ensure that Goodwill quality control standards are met (textiles, misc., furniture).
Complete reports accurately as assigned (donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer).
Price merchandise according to prescribed criteria.
Prepare textiles and goods for resale..
Follow the dress code as directed by Goodwill and display a professional image and attitude.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the store Manager, Assistant, or Supervisor.
Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
Basic Qualifications
Supervisory experience a plus.
Prior Retail sales
Ability to lift and or move up to 30 pounds.
Able to operate cash register, perform stock duties and provide customer service.
Basic mathematical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently while at the same time fostering strong team atmosphere and positive promotion of agency.
Training
Safety Training:
The person in this position will take safety training courses. Classes include OSHA mandated safety training and other classes pertinent to the position.
Other Training:
The person in this position will take classes as prescribed by the agency and state and federal laws.
Physical Demands:
Employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time. Use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; bend; crawl; talk or hear. Lift and/or move up 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee utilizes a cash register and telephone as well as merchandise racks and bins.
Work Environment:
The employee conducts the day-to-day requirements of his or her job in a retail store environment and may operate in a light industrial or warehouse setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with light dust and dirt.
