How You Will Be Successful:
- Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
- Politely and professionally receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts for articles donated; assist customers with lifting items in and out of their vehicles.
- Sort donations as they arrive into proper carts or bins and make a proper determination as to the quality of donations.
- Sort and price hard goods (wares).
- Keep the production area clean and safe and other store areas as directed.
- Maintain well groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge and vest.
- Provide general information to customers/donors.
- Assist processors when needed.
- Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines.
- React calmly and respond to emergencies.
- Refer all customer/donor complaints to management promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
- Ability to listen and follow directions.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to react calmly and respond to emergencies.
- Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc).
Preferred Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of utilizing a barcode scanner.
