What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF CENTRAL MICHIGAN'S HEARTLAND?
1st Shift!
Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm!

Essential Duties:
- Follow all Goodwill policies and procedures, including all safety policies and procedures
- Immediately notify supervisor or other lead worker if any problem or concern regarding safety exists
- Follow all manufacturing department’s policies and procedures
- Assemble parts, kits or products; repackage, sort (visually inspect), or otherwise produce any work assigned per customer requirements and provided work instructions (written, visual or verbal)
- Includes: properly documenting time in/out; properly documenting production; obtaining necessary packaging; verifying raw materials; requesting required inspections; performing required operation with zero defects; completing appropriate production documents; notifying appropriate personnel when running out of raw materials; maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment
- Immediately notify supervisor or other lead worker if any problem or concern regarding quality exists
- Performance and documentation of equipment checks and the cleaning of assigned work area(s)
- Accurate, legible completion of manufacturing department’s quality system forms and documents
Additional Duties:
As assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to: material handling duties, 5S activities, involvement in corrective or preventative actions and continuous improvement activities or events.
