JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for assisting in the technical design, planning, implementation, and optimization of mission-critical enterprise systems. Serves as one of the principal technical experts in system administration for complex infrastructure systems. Develop and implement long-term IT strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provides mentorship and technical leadership to the IT team.
This is not a supervisory role.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Deploy, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual). o Monitor system performance, manage backups, and ensure high availability of all server resources. o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for servers, desktops, and laptops.
Maintain and manage Active Directory, ensuring robust user and group policy management, alongside proficiency in administering Microsoft Exchange for seamless email communication and collaboration.Network Management :Design, install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs for LAN / WAN.
Project and Policy Management :Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. o Manage IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives, from planning to execution.
Software and Hardware Maintenance :Oversee software installations, updates, and patches across the enterprise.
Manage infrastructure hardware inventory, including procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity :Develop and test disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
Provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure issues, including emergency maintenance.Collaboration and Strategy :Work with other departments to understand and fulfill their IT needs. o Participate in strategy discussions for IT infrastructure, capacity planning, and technology upgrades.
Documentation and Compliance :Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system setups, and incident resolutions.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.Vendor Management :Evaluate, recommend, and negotiate with hardware and software vendors.
Manage relationships with external service providers for IT services.Support for Helpdesk :Provide second and third level support to end-users, including remote troubleshooting.
General Responsibilities :Keep abreast of new technological trends and threats to continuously improve IT services.
Ensure punctual and dependable attendance for scheduled duties and emergency responses.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in computer science or 6 years of experience in Systems Administration.Advanced knowledge of Windows Server based services, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and emerging IT trends.Proven experience in IT project management and strategic planning.IT Certification in Microsoft MCSE, Network , Security , Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, strongly preferred.Familiar with ITIL standards and SLA measures.Must be 21 years old.Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and Car Insurance Verification, required.Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.Ability to speak, read and write the English language.Reliable transportation and communication required.CORE COMPETENCIES :
