- The Donated Goods Program provides direct employment through the recycling and reselling of material donations across 18 stores and a 175,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
- The Workforce Development Program assist clients with assessments, education, job readiness training, coaching and career placement.

The Donated Goods Program provides employment by offering work through the recycling and reselling of material donations in stores throughout the community, while keeping millions of pounds of reusable items out of our landfills. Position Summary:

As a Cashier, you will use weighing and ringing equipment to charge customers for their purchases accurately.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead by example to consistently follow all procedures and best practices.
- Comply with Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. policies, Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the organization's safety and security policies and procedures.
- Provide customer service to shoppers.
- Meet minimum productivity by ringing up customers quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive disposition during the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred/Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
- Equipment operation experience preferred scale, cash register.
Position Specifics:
- Works in a climate-controlled office or retail environment most of the time.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, dust, and extreme weather conditions such as heat and cold.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
- Open scheduling availability is required to meet the needs of the business. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
- Works 40 hours per week or more as required.
- Moderate noise level.
