Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating the flow of work and materials within the cardboard and shredded paper recycling process
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.
Demonstrate our core values through actions and words.
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
Prepare outgoing shipments(cardboard and shredded paper bales) such that they are secure for the shipping process.
Record the weight of outgoing product for shipping purposes.
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
Coordinate incoming recycling product from the city, customer and/or the shredding process.
Immediately report any damages, shortages, or nonconformance issues to direct supervisor.
Safely operate a forklift.
Perform a variety of tasks to ensure all contracts are completed in a timely manner with proper quality controls for each contract as assigned.
Supply workstations with necessary materials for workers to begin/continue production.
Ensure quality and performance standards of the customer by examining materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance and specifications.
Coordinate recycle team and work efficiently and effectively to ensure on-time completion and quality of customer jobs.
Interfaces with other departments to ensure customer orders deadlines are met. Assist with other departments as needed to ensure timely completion of contracts.
Train new employees in the recycling area.
Train new employees on the proper and safe use of all equipment.
Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report any concerns to the direct supervisor.
Inspect and report machine and equipment malfunctions to the production manager.
Report any unsafe activities or circumstances on the production floor.
