Position Title: Janitor
Department: Commercial Services
Status: Part time/Non-exempt
Reports to: Safety & Loss Prevention Manager
Position summary: The Janitor is responsible for keeping buildings and surrounding grounds at Goodwill locations or Goodwill contracted sites in a clean and orderly condition. He/she will perform general cleaning duties, trash removal, and general upkeep.
Essential functions:
- Perform heavy cleaning duties including but not limited to: cleaning floors and carpets, washing walls and windows, cleaning restrooms and break rooms, dusting and appliance cleaning.
- Ensure that the facility is kept clean and free of garbage by emptying containers on a daily basis.
- Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding need to replenish inventory of cleaning and janitorial supplies.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding needed building repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a good attendance record with no patterns of tardiness, absenteeism, or time off without supervisor’s approval.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Attend safety trainings and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees at all times.
- Promote positive teamwork among co-workers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and required skills:
- Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
Education and experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year janitorial experience in a manufacturing or office setting preferred.

Pay: $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
