We are hiring Material Handlers to move and sort donated materials and salvage commodities for our outlet 'bins' store.
You will assist in all areas of the salvage process and cross-train to learn other outlet functions. You will also provide excellent customer service to donors, shoppers, and vendors.
Due to the machinery used for the job,employees of the outlet store must be 18 years old or older. You must also be available to work a day shift schedule and be available to work weekends. This location is open 7 days a week from 8 am - 6 pm.

Essential Functions:
- Processes quality donations quickly, which involves the sorting and preparing of all materials for sale in the store, and meets production goals (rotating minimum of 220 tables a day).
- Assists in stock rotation and maintaining tables and other displays in a presentable manner.
- Uses personal computer software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
- Assists store team leadership and the training of new personnel.
- Responsible for filling and rotating the tables on time.
- Assists in maintaining a clean work area and breakroom, such as sweeping floors. Adheres to all safety practices, procedures, and policies.
- Performs various material handling manually, using a hand truck or pallet jack for duties on the dock, facility, or exterior areas of the store.
- Ability to operate all tipping equipment.
- Weighs and records Gaylord's, Containers and Hoppers to track diversion pounds.
- Provides appropriate customer service on the Outlet Floor.
- Sort and weigh specific outgoing salvage (books, shoes, purses/belts/bags, brick-a-brack, toys, metal).
- Receives and processes quality donations quickly, which includes sorting all materials for shipment to the stores.
- Place trash into the proper container and move the container to the proper location (including outside designations) for disposal or dispose of it into the compactor.
- Uses all appropriate safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follows all safety practices.
- Hands every donor a receipt and ends every donor interaction with "You changed a life today. Thank you!"
