Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented Total Rewards Specialist to join our team! The Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for performing human resources administration related duties at the professional level with responsibilities in the functional areas of compensation, benefits, and job analysis. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the employee benefit programs and evaluation jobs to determine classification. This position provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers to ensure quality HR Administration experience. Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Provide day-to-day administration of all benefits plans, processing new hires, terminations, status changes, etc. for group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, and COBRA. Assist with conducting employee open enrollment meetings and communicates benefit plan provisions.
- Optimizes the company’s ability to achieve its mission and grow in serving employees by maintaining helpful employee communications and positive relationships with vendors.
- Maintains benefit records and enrollment applications for all plans.
- Consults and advises employees on eligibility, benefit vendor companies’ product provisions, and Goodwill company policy. Answers employees’ benefit in a timely manner. Maintains contact with service providers, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper employee utilization of benefits.
- Works with the Total Rewards Manager and the company’s insurance/benefit broker, to facilitate the development of specifications for new plans or the modification of existing plans.
- Assists in ensuring the company’s compliance with FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, and ACA reporting utilizing various software and processes.
- Assists in managing the agency’s annual merit review process.
- Assists with developing guidelines for job description preparation and ensure accurate coding for FLSA, salary grade, EEO, and compensation. Evaluates job positions to determine classification and salary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience required in the administration of human resources functions and/or benefits and/or compensation
- Must have Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work, proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.
