Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures. Provide guidance, support, and training to security staff to enhance their performance and effectiveness.
- Security Operations: Conduct regular security patrols to monitor and assess security risks. Respond to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure safety. Ensure that all security equipment and systems are functioning correctly.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, patrols, and other relevant activities. Prepare and submit incident reports and daily shift reports to management.
- Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, addressing their security concerns and needs. Act as a point of contact for client communication and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the security team and coordinate training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Conduct regular performance evaluations for security officers.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that security personnel adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards. Monitor and enforce access control procedures and visitor management.
- Emergency Response: Lead emergency response drills and exercises to prepare the team for various scenarios. Take charge during emergencies, implementing appropriate protocols and liaising with relevant authorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, Required.
- Security Certifications are desirable.
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years in a supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
Physical Demands:
- This job may have physical requirements that are considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Security Officers may work in a variety of settings, including office buildings, retail stores, hospitals, educational institutions, government facilities, residential complexes, and more. The work may involve indoor and outdoor activities, and shifts can vary, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
