Job Purpose: The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. This position supervises staff, volunteers, community service workers, etc. by performing the following duties.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing software and Microsoft Outlook email.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
- Coordinates and directs workers preparing merchandise displays.
- Supervises employees engaged in sales work, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accounting Department, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.
- Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
- Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.
- Operates a cash register and calculator.
- Transports cash funds to and from bank.
- Receives and respond to alarm calls – must have personal telephone service.
- Orients all new hires on emergency plans and procedures
- Provides support of employee disciplinary actions, assisting management in the application of appropriate performance improvement plans and/or the corrective action processes.
- Aids management with new hire packet paperwork for employees at their location.
- Other duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises their employees in their Retail Department location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
