What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly/Packaging - South Bend - FT position at Goodwill Industries Of Michiana Inc?
Job Objective:
To assist in the efficient and correct completion of various industrial services work as assigned. Position reports to the Industrial Services Supervisor/Director.
Essential Job Functions:
Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.
Learn and correctly use production methods and quality standards to complete production for a variety of assembly, rework, packaging, mailing and inspection operations common to the Industrial Services Department.
Personal protective equipment must be worn on jobs as required.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to learn production procedures for a variety of light industrial jobs.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to count.
Good eyesight.
Ability to meet acceptable levels of production.
Ability to use various small hand tools.
Ability to sit upright in a chair or stand for 4 hours at a time.
Equipment Used:
Small hand tools.
Various light industrial machines as required by job.
Physical Requirements:
Light industrial area with some heat, fumes, and noise, depending on job.
