Job Objective:
The Director of Mission Services plays a key role in leading the activities of mission delivery, ensuring that the annual goals meet or exceed the requirements of the strategic vision and annual budget. To plan, organize, direct, and monitor the activities of mission programs and services in the areas of education, training, and job placement. This position is responsible for the supervision and development of all direct reports, securing funding streams and plays a critical role in advancing our mission and ensuring the sustainability of our programs. This position reports to the Chief Mission Officer who evaluates performance annually.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of mission services staff.
- Collaborate with other department heads and program managers.
- Continuously monitor job performance of all direct reports.
Essential Job Functions:
- Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.

Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program participants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with community organizations, employers, and agencies to expand program reach and impact.

Program and Process Management
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of job readiness training and job placement programs.
- Ensure that program processes are efficient and effective.

Audit Compliance
- Ensure all program activities adhere to regulatory and funding requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in audits as needed.

Delivering Outcomes
- Monitor and report on program outcomes and impact, tracking success stories and progress toward goals.
- Continuously evaluate and improve program effectiveness.

Increase Revenue through Diversified Sources
- Conduct grant research and write grant proposals to secure funding.
- Manage the current donor database platform to increase individual donors and donation amounts.
- Develop and execute strategies to bring in new unrestricted funds.

Grant Management
- Develop and maintain a grant calendar and a list of potential grant opportunities.
- Maintain regular contact with grant funding sources and meet grant applications deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit program management, including grant writing and fundraising.
- Familiarity with job readiness training and job placement programs is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
