PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be an instructor in the subject of work to all who come to Goodwill for training or job placement assistance. In that work ethic is more caught than taught, you will teach others through your own work ethic and passion for quality.
- Washes and stores properly all dishes, eating utensils, pots, pans, bakeware, and other equipment for the department.
- Maintains the dish pit area and dish machine in a sanitary, safe, and efficient manner.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS:
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Prior dishwashing experience in a large-volume commercial kitchen
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and public relations.
- Ability to work with a team or individually.
- Ability to recognize the importance of contributing to a team environment and support other team members to provide excellence to customers.
- Familiar with principles of safety and sanitation
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The needs of the hospitality department dictate the ability to work a flexible schedule to coincide with the needs of various events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand for long periods; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, and carrying of equipment, bus boxes, trays, and other objects. Ability to work in hot, damp environments
