Description
Helms Career Education is an arm of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA that provides educational and training programs to those seeking "a hand-up" in the career world. The goal, as with all Goodwill programs, is to assist individuals with the skills and resources required to garner and retain competitive employment.
Job Duties : Provide quality and technically relevant instruction in EKG procedures to help prepare students for the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam.
- Provide quality and technically relevant instruction in EKG best practices
- Provide quality and technically relevant instruction of course curriculum
- Describe effective infection control in the healthcare setting
- Define the structure of the cardiovascular system, to include associated medical terms, disorders, and diagnostic tests
- Record attendance in the learning management system
- Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
- Review syllabus and learning outcomes the first night of class
- Provide sufficient time for students to complete course evaluations
Qualifications
Education Required : Registered Nurse and / or EKG Technician and / or current industry certifications or licensure in a health-related field.
Experience Required : 3 years of work experience in EKG or relevant medical professional experience. 1 to 2 years experience in training or education required. Expert knowledge in medical lab procedures, cardiology, and medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills.
Salary : $20 - $24
