The HVAC Teaching Assistant (TA) will assist the HVAC Instructors in a lab setting. The TA, under the direction of the instructor, will supervise students in the HVAC lab as they perform various HVAC lab assignments and projects, ensuring that procedures are done safely and properly.
The candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and be competent and proficient in HVACR installation, maintenance, and repair. The candidate must also demonstrated the ability to troubleshoot HVACR equipment and systems.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties :
1. Maintain open communication with the program manager.
2. Provide HVAC lab supervision based on school and program policies.
5. Maintain an environment conducive to student learning in the laboratory.
6.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe teaching environment obeying safety regulations where applicable.
7.Maintain professionalism and lab management with a diverse student population.
9. Effectively evaluate student performance in the laboratory based on designated evaluation tools.
10. Follow academic and student services policies.
11. Accept constructive feedback and achieve general effectiveness based on student and administrative evaluations.
15. Attend required meetings and professional development workshops.
16. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by program manager.
