Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Travels to assigned stores on a regular basis to ensure all operational financial expectations are achieved.
- Creates a positive public image of Goodwill by ensuring a clean organized store environment, attractive displays, and presentable and personable staff across all locations they are responsible for.
- Executes the development plan for the associate district manager that reports to them.
- Ensure store operations team members are trained in agency policies, practices and procedures as related to their position.
- Ensure store operations team members are trained on all department operations, procedures, and practices.
- Partners with Human Resources to train and develop management staff on all policies, practices and procedures while also focusing on the leadership development needed to ensure their ability to grow and succeed in their role.
- Resolves customer’s complaints and inquiries and promotes excellent customer experience.
- Reviews reports (production, inventory, sales, etc.) to analyze data, make decisions, drive results, and inform training opportunities for operations team members.
- Maintains current working knowledge of trends in retail industry. Communicates regularly with the warehouse team and reports on inventory status in a punctual manner.
- Establishes effective ways to reach production, sales, and margin goals.
- Monitors sales floor level of store merchandise and supplies and adjusts as necessary; ensures merchandise pulls are completed weekly and recorded.
- Coordinates the implementation of marketing and promotional activities at the locations they supervise utilizing direction from the marketing department.
- Responds to and resolves employee conflict while training to promote positive employee relations.
- Completes required administrative and clerical duties, including submitting paperwork and reports accurately, and within the established time frame.
- Verifies that locations are preparing work schedules and assigning employees to specific duties; ensures accountabilities for all employees.
- Prepares and submits payroll records in a timely manner.
- Responsible for loss control procedures, practices, and accountability, including reporting known or suspected security and/or theft problems (internal and external).
- Develops and maintains a productive relationship with all administrative departments.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Ensures HIPAA compliance.
- Responsible for the safety of all persons served and staff under his/her supervision.
- Responsible for CARF compliance, maintenance, and implementation of standards into all programs in areas of responsibility and follows professional ethics as described in the Code of Conduct/Business Ethics policy.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Store Managers and Associate District Managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; assist with addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50lbs and may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. Frequent interaction with the public and groups of adults will occur. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Individuals must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
- Education and/or Experience: Associates degree preferred but not required. Five plus years’ experience in a retail environment, and five years of retail supervisory experience.
