Job Summary:
The Retail Project Manager role will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the retail organization that are focused on furthering the strategic objectives of the Retail organization.
The Retail Project Manager is expected to:
- Lead cross functional team(s) to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Examples of projects include store moves, grand openings, update color rotation schedules, develop pricing/tag guide, etc. and other store events
- Partner effectively with colleagues across teams, demonstrating a willingness to share resources in service of the broader Agency
- Manage and track project execution, metrics and activities
- Outline the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly
- Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project
- Monitor costs associated with business budget targets and escalate as needed
- Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices
- Manage all activities related to the ‘New Goods’ program including procurement, merchandising, allocation, sales, inventory etc.
- Develop, communicate and distribute retail training aids including pocket sizing and colorizing charts, etc.
- Identify procurement opportunities such as fixtures, equipment (vests, tables, carts, etc.)
- Represent the Retail team as needed for whole organization projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field, which may include Business Administration or Project Management
- At least 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of retail management experience
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable
- LEAN and/or process improvement experience highly desirable
